Cultural Projects
My project-based work brings together music, visual storytelling, text and cultural engagement. These projects are rooted in long-term collaboration and curiosity, often unfolding across borders, communities and artistic disciplines.
A central part of this work is my ongoing collaboration with visual storyteller Shazia Khan, where sound, image and narrative are developed side by side through exhibitions, live performances, publications and digital formats. Rather than illustrating stories, the projects aim to create open spaces for listening, reflection and shared experience.

Together with visual storyteller Shazia Khan, I co-founded and run the Danish publishing house Imago Forlag. Our publishing work grows directly out of a shared artistic practice and focuses on human stories, photographic narratives and social themes.
In addition to contributing articles to major Danish magazines and international media such as Al Jazeera, our first book project was All Power to Love (Al Magt til Kærligheden), portraying residents of Freetown Christiania through intimate photographic and narrative perspectives.
Through Imago Forlag, we continue to develop books that combine photography, text and lived experience, addressing themes such as love, identity, migration and social struggle. The most recent publication, Siulit – Ancestors / We Are Here Now, brings together portraits and stories of people with roots in Greenland and in other cultural contexts, reflecting on heritage, presence and belonging across generations and geographies.

Education & Knowledge Sharing
Alongside my artistic practice, I have many years of experience as an educator and hold a Master’s degree in Music Education, with trumpet as my main instrument. My teaching focuses on ensemble playing, listening and collaborative learning across different age groups and contexts.

With Shazia Khan I have travelled extensely and spend several months in Mexico every year. My work is shaped by extensive travel and longer stays, particularly in Mexico, where musical collaboration, cultural exchange and everyday life have become integral to my practice. Long-term relationships with musicians, artists and communities is an important part of my music and my cultural projects.
Mexico is often reduced to a few dark headlines. What I have encountered instead is a country rich in culture, creativity and human connection, far beyond the narratives that usually dominate in Europe. Through articles, exhibitions and public talks, we work to make visible the cultural richness and diversity that exist beyond dominant and simplified narratives. Here we are at a high school in Svendborg, using photography, sound, music and personal narratives to open conversations about culture, identity and lived experience.

Voices of the North
I create and take part in collaborative artistic processes with children and young people from Uummannaq, working closely with the Childrens Home to foreground young voices and lived experience.
This work extends into Voices of the North, a project dedicated to amplifying the voices of young people from Greenland and Iceland. Through two interactive, video-based platforms, the project presents portraits of young people, sharing their music, dreams and perspectives on life — across geography, language and cultural boundaries.
